KEYS TO SUCCESS:

  • SHERWOOD SUSPENDED: Cleveland RW Kole Sherwood was suspended for two games following his receiving a match penalty for a hit to the head during the Monsters’ 1-5 home loss to Utica on Sunday.
  • ROSTER MOVES: Since Cleveland last played (Sunday, January 6th), the Monsters returned D Justin Wade on loan to the ECHL’s Florida Everblades and Cleveland’s NHL affiliate, the Columbus Blue Jackets, reassigned RW Maxime Fortier from the ECHL’s Jacksonville IceMen to the Monsters.
  • BLOCK BATHERSON: On Wednesday, the Monsters will need to neutralize Belleville RW Drake Batherson. The Senators’ lone AHL All-Star, Batherson currently ranks in the AHL’s top-five among rookie skaters in points (25, T5th) and is coring at a point per game pace vs. Cleveland this year (2 GP, 0-2-2).
