Monsters to Host Free Scrimmage

The fourth season of Lake Erie Monsters hockey, presented by Kaiser Permanente, will officially begin next Wednesday, September 29th, when the team reports to its annual training camp. The team will practice each day next week, capped by an intra-squad scrimmage on Friday, October 1st. The game at Hoover Arena, operated by IceLand USA, begins at 7:00 p.m. and will be free and open to the public.

Hoover Arena is the official practice facility of the Monsters and is located at 15381 Royalton Road in Strongsville. Daily practice is also open to the public.

The scrimmage will be the first chance to see the 2010-11 Monsters compete and will also feature entertainment from the team’s mascot, Sully, as well as the MonSquad and Mullet Brothers.

The Monsters will open their fourth season on Friday, October 8th when they host the Syracuse Crunch at Quicken Loans Arena, kicking off the American Hockey League’s 75th Anniversary season. The first 10,000 fans to the game will receive free SullyBanz and a free magnetic schedule, courtesy of Sugardale.
