The Monsters Community Foundation invests in organizations that directly support the health and well-being of at-risk populations in Northeast Ohio, and provide access to hockey in our community.

Grant Application Guidelines

The Monsters Community Foundation is proud to support organizations that provide programs that support the health and well-being of at-risk populations in Northeast Ohio. The Foundation gives priority consideration to proposals with a focus in the following areas: 

  • Providing access to the sport of hockey 

  • Health and well-being of youth 

  • Creating safe spaces to live, learn, work, and play 

Please Note: Although Grant Inquiries are accepted on an on-going basis, to ensure that all qualified organizations have the opportunity to apply and be considered for funding from the Monsters Community Foundation, organizations are invited to submit an application biennially, once every other year. 

 Grants are not available for: 

• Organizations with less than three (3) active years as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity 

• Individuals 

• Private Foundations 

• Public, Private, or Charter Schools 

• Religious Institutions 

• Government Institutions 

• Staff Salaries 

• Capital Projects 

Grant Award Information

The Monsters Community Foundation is a part of the Cavaliers Community Foundation, and thus all applications will be reviewed by the Cavaliers Community Foundation Board for consideration. 

- If an organization is awarded a grant, payment from the Foundation will be sent to the non-profit organization for the determined grant amount.
