Street Hockey Series pres. by Dippin Dots

 

The Monsters Grow the Game Street Hockey Series is back! This summer, these clinics will be hosted safely & distanced at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

 

Regardless of hockey experience, children ages 5-14 will receive USA Hockey-certified intruction for a $5 donation to the Monsters Community Foundation. Participants will learn fundamentals of stickhandling, shooting, and passing, while also receiving a Monsters Grow the Game t-shirt & a ticket to a future Monsters game. 

 

One family member per athlete is welcome to stay and watch the clinic.

 

Street hockey sticks will be provided for the event, though outside hockey sticks are allowed. Athletes are required to wear close-toed shoes.

Safety Protocol 

Clinics will feature a format following CDC recommendations for socially distanced events, including:


-Individual skill stations at least six feet apart on the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse main floor and practice court

 

-No drills putting athletes in direct contact with each other

 

-At check-in, security will check bags and the temperatures of athletes and family members. If any family member is over the temperature threshold of 100.4 degrees, the family will not be permitted entrance

 

-One family member per athlete is welcome to stay and watch the clinic. Family members will be seated at least six feet apart from each other in the lower bowl of the FieldHouse and will be required to wear a face covering at all times. Additional face coverings will be available at check-in for those in need. Athletes participating in the clinic are not required to wear masks

 

-Hand sanitizer stations will be set up for guests to use upon entering and exiting the FieldHouse

 

-Athletes will be asked to bring individual capped water bottles labeled with names to avoid congregating at drinking stations. Individual bottles of water will also be available during the clinic
