Cleveland Monsters Grow the Game Street Hockey Clinic


The Cleveland Monsters will be taking hockey to the streets LITERALLY on Friday, August 18th for Grow the Game Community Day* and Saturday, August 19th for Grow The Game Street Hockey Clinics through the Monsters’ new “Grow the Game” community initiative. Partnering with Jacobs Entertainment, Inc and the Nautica Entertainment Complex, The Monsters will host two full days of FREE street hockey clinics for children in Northeast Ohio to introduce them to the sport of hockey. Open to all ages of 5-14 years of age and all skill levels.

Sign up now below for professional hockey instruction on the STREET on August 18th – your only equipment requirement being sneakers! Due to popular demand August 19th registration is now closed. 

Professional hockey instruction will include the fundamentals of shooting, passing and stick handling and will conclude with a simulated game.  Instruction will be led by Cleveland Monsters Hockey staff members and former Monsters Player and Ohio Hockey Project Owner Russ Sinkewich. Children ages 5-14 with any level of hockey experience are welcome to participate!    Street Hockey sticks will be provided for the event, no outside hockey sticks allowed.

Concessions will be available and a special box lunch including grilled hotdog, chips, drink and piece of fruit will be available for $5 for all attendees. Time slots and space are limited and will be filled on a first come first serve basis; pre-registration is highly encouraged.
