ZAC DALPE

Q: What have you been doing to stay active and healthy with some stay-at-home orders becoming more lenient?
Staying active isn’t hard when you have two little boys running around. Being a full time parents keeps me plenty active.

Q: Have you picked up any new hobbies, skills or started new projects since the end of the season?
No new hobbies unfortunately but I have taken a liking to Yoga! I have an app that puts me through movements and I like it more than I thought.

Q: If you could pick one place to be as we continue to stay at home, where would it be and why?
I guess anywhere where my family is where I want to be. I’ve really enjoyed my time with the kids.

Q: Have you been back on the ice since the last time we spoke? If so, what did you enjoy most of getting back out there?
I am back to skating now! Since my injury, my rehab has progressed to me skating full time again. I missed being out there this past season so I’m definitely looking forward to playing again.

Q: What do you find most interesting about the NHL bubble life (meals, playing in empty arenas, transportation)?
What I find most interesting is the “fake crowd noises” you hear on TV. I guess the players who are playing don’t hear that but watching it on TV you hear people cheering.

Q: What have you been doing to stay active and healthy with some stay-at-home orders becoming more lenient?
I’ve been working with my trainer every morning at 930 and then Garuda Tuesday’s and Friday’s. If you’ve never heard of Garuda go on Instagram and checkout @truemovementgaruda. It’s amazing for the back and hips.

Q: Have you picked up any new hobbies, skills or started new projects since the end of the season?
While in quarantine I got so bored I learned how to DJ. I’ve always loved music so I thought why not learn how to mix it.

Q: If you could pick one place to be as we continue to stay at home, where would it be and why?
I would choose a lake front property in Kelowna, British Columbia.

Q: Have you been back on the ice since the last time we spoke? If so, what did you enjoy most of getting back out there?
I have been able to get back on the ice. I’ve been doing skills work for myself as well as helping my skills instructor with his younger groups!
