Game Preview: Monsters at Chicago 3/5

In the first of four meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Chicago Wolves, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes, on Friday with full coverage, live from Triphahn Center Ice Arena in Hoffman Estates, IL, underway at 7:00 pm on FOX Sports 1350 AM “The Gambler”, AHLTV and the Monsters Hockey Network.

 

MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 6-3 home win over the Rockford IceHogs on Saturday, the Cleveland Monsters enter tonight’s game at 2-3-1-0 on the season. With five points, the Monsters currently rank fifth in the Central Division standings and 20th league-wide. Cleveland is currently led in scoring by RW Trey Fix-Wolansky (4-3-7), LW Nathan Gerbe (2-5-7), and RW Carson Meyer (2-3-5).

 

WOLVES PRE-SCOUT: Following an 8-4 home win over the Grand Rapids Griffins on Sunday, the Chicago Wolves enter tonight’s game at 8-1-0-0 on the season. With 16 points, the Wolves currently rank first in the Central Division standings and first league-wide. Chicago is currently led in scoring by C Seth Jarvis (7-4-11), C Rem Pitlick (8-2-10), and C Tommy Novak (2-8-10).

 

REGULAR-SEASON SERIES: Friday marks the first of four meetings between the Monsters and Wolves this season and the first of two games between the two clubs at Triphahn Center Ice Arena this year.
