Monsters' Roadtrip Continues to Rochester

In the seventh of eight meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Rochester Americans, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres, on Saturday with full coverage, live from Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, NY, underway at 7:00 pm on Alt 99.1, AHLTV and the Monsters Hockey Network.

 

MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 3-6 road loss to the Syracuse Crunch on Friday, the Cleveland Monsters enter tonight’s game at 23-26-3-2 on the season. With 51 points, the Monsters currently rank eighth in the AHL’s North Division standings and 15th in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland is currently led in scoring by D Adam Clendening (6-30-36), C Stefan Matteau (12-16-28) and C Ryan MacInnis (6-20-26).

 

AMERKS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 3-2 home overtime win over the Lehigh Valley Phantoms on Friday, the Rochester Americans enter tonight’s game at 30-17-3-4 on the season. With 67 points, the Amerks currently rank second in the AHL’s North Division standings and fourth in the Eastern Conference. Rochester is currently led in scoring by C Jean-Sebastien Dea (15-21-36), D Zach Redmond (5-25-30) and C Sean Malone (11-16-27).

 

REGULAR-SEASON SERIES: Saturday marks the seventh of eight meetings between the Monsters and Amerks this season and the fourth of four games between the two clubs at Blue Cross Arena this year. Cleveland is 2-2-2-0 overall vs. Rochester with a -3 goal differential (16/19) and 2-0-1-0 vs. the Amerks on the road with a +1 goal differential (10/9) so far this season.
