KEYS TO SUCCESS:

  • ROAD WOES: Cleveland will look to keep the Griffins’ road struggles going on Tuesday as Grand Rapids is winless in four straight away from home and currently mired in a three-game road losing streak, the AHL’s third-longest such active streak and tied for the fifth longest streak of its kind league-wide this year.
  • DYNAMIC DUO: The Monsters will have their hands full on Tuesday with the Griffins’ top two scorers, forwards Chris Terry and Matt Puempel. Terry’s 21 points are tied for league-lead while Puempel is currently riding a nine-game points streak (13 PTS), the league’s longest such active streak.
  • PK PARLAY: While the Monsters continue to lead the league in shorthanded goals (5), the Griffins are currently providing the AHL’s least-effective penalty killing unit (72.0%, 31st).
