Monsters Back at the Q, Take on the Marlies

In the fifth of eight meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Toronto Marlies, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs, on Wednesday with full coverage, live from The Q, underway at 7:00 pm on Alt 99.1, AHLTV and the Monsters Hockey Network.

MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 5-4 road shootout win over the Laval Rocket on Saturday, the Cleveland Monsters enter tonight’s game at 19-16-4-1 on the season. With 43 points, the Monsters currently rank sixth in the AHL’s North Division standings and 12th in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland is led in scoring by C Zac Dalpe (15-14-29), LW Nathan Gerbe (9-20-29) and C Alex Broadhurst (7-18-25).

MARLIES PRE-SCOUT: In the wake of a 5-0 road win over the Charlotte Checkers on Sunday, the Toronto Marlies enter tonight’s game at 21-15-3-2 on the season. With 47 points, the Marlies currently rank fourth in the AHL’s North Division standings and eighth in the Eastern Conference. Toronto is led in scoring by C Chris Mueller (19-22-41), RW Jeremy Bracco (10-30-40) and C Sam Gagner (9-22-31).

SEASON SERIES: Wednesday marks the sixth of eight meetings between the Monsters and Marlies this season and the fourth of four tilts between the two teams at The Q this year. Cleveland shows a 3-0-2-0 record vs. Toronto overall with a +2 goal differential (23/21) and a record of 1-0-2-0 at home with a -1 goal differential (16/17) so far this season.
