Monsters Begin Crucial Road Trip with Match Up in Laval

In the seventh of eight meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Laval Rocket, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Montreal Canadiens, on Wednesday with full coverage, live from Place Bell in Laval, QC, underway at 7:30 pm on Alt 99.1, AHLTV and the Monsters Hockey Network.

MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 2-3 home shootout loss to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms on Saturday, the Cleveland Monsters enter tonight’s game at 34-26-7-2 on the season. With 77 points, the Monsters currently rank fifth in the AHL’s North Division standings and tenth in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland is led in scoring by C Zac Dalpe (30-20-50), C Mark Letestu (19-25-44) and D Adam Clendening (4-31-35).

ROCKET PRE-SCOUT: In the wake of a 0-3 road loss to the Toronto Marlies on Saturday, the Laval Rocket enter tonight’s game at 28-30-6-6 on the season. With 68 points, the Rocket currently rank seventh in the AHL’s North Division standings and 14th in the Eastern Conference. Laval is led in scoring by C Alex Belzile (17-35-52), C Jake Evans (13-32-45) and C Daniel Audette (14-23-37).

SEASON SERIES: Wednesday marks the seventh of eight meetings between the Monsters and Rocket this season and the third of four clashes between the two clubs at Place Bell this year. So far this season, Cleveland is 3-3-0-0 vs. Laval overall with an even goal differential (18/18) and the Monsters are 1-1-0-0 vs. the Rocket on the road with an even goal differential (5/5).
