Monsters Clash with the Devils at Home

In the third of four meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Binghamton Devils, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s New Jersey Devils, on Saturday with full coverage, live from The Q, underway at 7:00 pm on Alt 99.1, AHLTV and the Monsters Hockey Network.

MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 5-1 road win over the Charlotte Checkers on Wednesday, the Cleveland Monsters enter tonight’s game at 22-20-4-1 on the season. With 49 points, the Monsters currently rank fifth in the AHL’s North Division standings and 12th in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland is led in scoring by LW Nathan Gerbe (10-22-32), C Zac Dalpe (15-14-29) and C Alex Broadhurst (8-21-29).

DEVILS PRE-SCOUT: In the wake of a 3-2 home shootout win over the Belleville Senators on Saturday, the Binghamton Devils enter tonight’s game at 21-24-5-0 on the season. With 47 points, the Devils currently rank seventh in the AHL’s North Division standings and 14th in the Eastern Conference. Binghamton is led in scoring by LW Blake Pietila (16-14-30), C Michael McLeod (5-23-28) and C John Quenneville (13-13-26).

SEASON SERIES: Saturday marks the third of four meetings between the Monsters and Devils this season and the first of two clashes between the two teams at The Q this year. So far this season, Cleveland is 1-1-0-0 vs. Binghamton both overall and on the road with a +3 goal differential (8/5).
