KEYS TO SUCCESS:

  • BROADHURST BROTHERS: Cleveland’s sibling tandem of LW Terry and C Alex Broadhurst have never been more productive. Terry, the elder Broadhurst, is currently in the midst of an eight-game point streak (3-8-11), a six-game home assist streak (7A), a four-game assist streak (5A), a stretch of point-per-game production vs. Grand Rapids (4 GP, 0-4-4), and is scoring at a better-than point per game pace in his past 15 games (6-11-17). Meanwhile, Terry’s younger brother Alex has goals in three straight games for the Monsters (3G), tied for the AHL’s longest such active streak.
  • STAY DISCIPLINED: Cleveland will need to avoid retaliating on Sunday against a bruising Griffins team that features D Dylan McIlrath (26 minor penalties, 5th league-wide/4th among defensemen) and RW Dominik Shine (4 major penalties, T3rd among rookies), two of the tougher customers in the AHL’s Central Division.
  • RUBBER MATCH: With the final game of the Monsters’ and Griffins’ eight-game season series on hold until the final game of the regular season on April 14th, Sunday’s tilt is the capper of a stretch of three consecutive games between the two teams with each team having claimed one of the first two tilts in the series.
