KEYS TO SUCCESS:
- MR. GENEROSITY: Monsters LW Nathan Gerbe is currently in the midst of a five-game assists streak (7A), the AHL’s second-longest such active streak and is scoring at a better than point per game pace in his past five games (1-7-8) and in his last nine appearances (1-9-10) as well.
- SHORTHANDED SUCCESS: Cleveland has quietly climbed into the AHL’s top-five in both shorthanded goals (9, T2nd) and home shorthanded goals (5, T4th) so far this season.
- BLUE LINE BOMBERS: The Monsters will have to contend with a trio of snipers on Stockton’s blue line on Wednesday in D Rasmus Andersson, D Tyler Wotherspoon, and D Oliver Kylington. Andersson and Wotherspoon currently rank tied for sixth among AHL defensemen in scoring (30 PTS) and rank tied for third among AHL d-men in assists (24). Meanwhile Kylington’s 25 points rank in the AHL’s top-15 among blue-liners (T13th) and his 23 assists rank tied for fifth-most among AHL defensemen this season.
