KEYS TO SUCCESS:

  • JOLTIN’ JEFF: It was a phenomenal Monsters debut for new Cleveland G Jeff Zatkoff on Tuesday in Milwaukee as the tenth-year pro, acquired via trade from the Los Angeles Kings on Monday, stopped each of the 27 pucks he faced in a 5-0 Cleveland victory in Zatkoff’s first action of the season.
  • NEW FACES: As if the arrival of Zatkoff weren’t enough of a boost, the Monsters will be buoyed on Thursday by the arrival of longtime former NHL C Nathan Gerbe from the Swiss NLA and the arrival of high-scoring LW Tyler Motte, assigned to Cleveland by the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets on Wednesday.
  • RECENT SUCCESS: Several Cleveland players are scoring at a point-per-game or better pace recently, including LW Terry Broadhurst (four-game point streak [3-3-6], 6-6-12 in past 11 games), C Carter Camper (0-6-6 in past six games), C Justin Scott (2-1-3 in past two games), and C Zac Dalpe (6-8-14 in past 14 games).
