Monsters Head Back to PPL Center to Take on the Phantoms

In the second of four meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers, on Saturday with full coverage, live from PPL Center in Allentown, PA, underway at 7:00 pm on Alt 99.1, AHLTV and the Monsters Hockey Network.

MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 0-1 road loss to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Friday, the Cleveland Monsters enter tonight’s game at 12-9-3-0 on the season. With 27 points, the Monsters currently rank third in the AHL’s North Division standings and seventh in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland is led in scoring by C Zac Dalpe (13-12-25), LW Eric Robinson (9-8-17) and LW Nathan Gerbe (3-14-17).

PHANTOMS PRE-SCOUT: In the wake of a 1-0 home win over the Hershey Bears on Friday, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms enter tonight’s game at 14-7-1-1 on the season. With 30 points, the Phantoms currently rank third in the AHL’s Atlantic Division standings and fourth in the Eastern Conference. Lehigh Valley is led in scoring by LW Greg Carey (12-15-27), D T.J. Brennan (6-15-21) and RW Chris Conner (10-8-18).

SEASON SERIES: Saturday marks the second of four meetings between the Monsters and Phantoms this season and the second of two games between the two teams at PPL Center this year. Cleveland is 1-0-0-0 vs. Lehigh Valley both overall and on the road this season with a +4 goal differential vs. the Phantoms (5/1).
