KEYS TO SUCCESS:

  • POWERFUL PAUL: Monsters LW Paul Bittner notched his team-leading fifth power-play goal and team-leading fourth game-winning goal of the season in Cleveland’s 4-1 road win over the Rockford IceHogs on Tuesday. In games in which Bittner scores a goal this season, the Monsters are 6-0-0-0 and when Bittner tallies a point, Cleveland is 8-0-0-1 this year.
  • REINFORCEMENTS: The Monsters received C Zac Dalpe and D Dean Kukan on loan from the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets on Wednesday.
  • PUCKS ON NET: Chicago currently ranks third in the AHL in shots on goal per game (32.9) and will face a Cleveland team on Wednesday that allows the third-fewest shots to their opponents league-wide this year (27.5). Whichever wins that strength-on-strength battle will have a leg up on claiming victory on Wednesday night.
