KEYS TO SUCCESS:

  • HOMETOWN HERO: Monsters RW Kole Sherwood, recently returned to Cleveland following his second stint this season with the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, made his NHL debut for Columbus on Saturday in Chicago, becoming the first-ever Columbus native to compete for the Blue Jackets in franchise history. On Monday, he competed at Nationwide Arena in front of countless friends and family as the Blue Jackets were defeated by the NHL-leading Tampa Bay Lightning by a 5-1 final score.
  • MONSTER MASHER: Rochester F Wayne Simpson leads all Amerks skaters with five goals and six points in five meetings vs. Cleveland this season.
  • TOUGH CUSTOMER: The Monsters would do well to watch out for Amerks F Dalton Smith on Wednesday as the sizeable winger leads the league in major penalties with ten to his credit this season.
