KEYS TO SUCCESS:

  • TERRIFIC TYLER: After notching a hat trick in Friday’s 7-4 win over the Reign, Monsters LW Tyler Motte is scoring at a point-per-game pace so far this season, pacing all Cleveland skaters with six points (4G, 2A) through six appearances so far this year.
  • GRAB AN EARLY LEAD: The Monsters would do well to build a first-period lead on Saturday, much like they did on Friday in taking a 3-0 edge into the middle period in what turned out to be a 7-4 Cleveland victory. So far this season, the Reign’s worst frame in terms of goal differential has been the opening stanza, in which Ontario has posted a -7 (0/7) and has yet to score a goal this year.

SPREAD THE WEALTH: In Cleveland’s best offensive performance this season, Friday’s win over Ontario, four Monsters skaters posted multiple points and 13 different Monsters notched at least one point. That type of balanced attack will serve Cleveland well on Saturday in their quest to sweep the Reign in a two-game weekend set
