Monsters Look to End Road Trip Strong in San Antonio

In the second of four meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the San Antonio Rampage, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche, on Sunday with full coverage, live from AT&T Center in San Antonio, TX, underway at 4:00 pm on Alt 99.1 and the Monsters Hockey Network.

MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 6-5 road overtime win over the Texas Stars on Friday, the Cleveland Monsters enter tonight’s game at 21-32-5-3 on the season. With a .410 points percentage, the Monsters currently rank seventh in the AHL’s Central Division standings and 15th in the Western Conference standings. Cleveland is led in scoring by C Alex Broadhurst (16-21-37), LW Terry Broadhurst (12-17-29), and C Zac Dalpe (11-15-26).

RAMPAGE PRE-SCOUT: In the wake of a 2-3 home overtime loss to the Manitoba Moose on Friday, the San Antonio Rampage enter tonight’s game at 29-25-10-0 overall this season. With a .531 points percentage, the Rampage currently rank sixth in the AHL’s Pacific Division standings and 12th in the Western Conference. San Antonio is led in scoring by LW Andrew Agozzino (16-18-34), LW Samuel Blais (14-18-32), and C Alex Belzile (11-17-28).

SEASON SERIES: Sunday marks the second of four meetings between the Monsters and Rampage this season and the second of two clashes at AT&T Center this year. Cleveland is 0-1-0-0 vs. San Antonio overall and on the road this season with a -2 goal differential (2/4).

  • ALL HANDS ON DECK: Monsters C Sam Vigneault has registered three points (1-2-3) in his past three games while C Alex Broadhurst has four (1-3-4) in has past two, D Ryan Collins has four (0-4-4) in his past three, LW Terry Broadhurst has three (0-3-3) in his past two, and LW Nathan Gerbe is coming off a three-point showing (2-1-3) that included an overtime game-winner in Cleveland’s 6-5 overtime road win over the Texas Stars on Friday.
