KEYS TO SUCCESS:

  • STAY OUT OF THE BOX: Cleveland set a new single-game season-high with 12 penalties for 38 penalty minutes in Friday’s 5-2 loss to the Admirals and two late power-play goals sealed the victory for Milwaukee, so the Monsters would be well-served to keep their noses clean tonight.
  • BLIND LINDBACK: Admirals net-minder Anders Lindback has been stellar this season, ranking in the AHL’s top-three in wins, minutes played, saves, and save percentage, is 2-0-0 vs. Cleveland with a 1.92 GAA and a .947 SV%, and is 8-1-0 on the road this year. If the Monsters intend to beat Lindback and Milwaukee on Saturday, they’ll need to take away his eyes as much as possible by generating significant traffic in front of the Admirals’ net.
  • FINISH STRONG: Saturday marks the Monsters’ final game prior to their holiday break, and with a grueling home-and-home series against Cleveland’s arch-rivals, the Grand Rapids Griffins, looming upon their return, Saturday is the Monsters’ last chance to generate positive momentum heading into some well-deserved time away from the rink.
