Monsters Look to Even the Score Against Stockton

In the second of four meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Stockton Heat, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Calgary Flames, on Friday with full coverage, live from The Q, underway at 7:00 pm on SportsTime Ohio, Alt 99.1, and the Monsters Hockey Network.

MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 3-6 home loss to the Stockton Heat on Wednesday, the Cleveland Monsters enter tonight’s game at 17-28-4-3 on the season. With a .394 points percentage, the Monsters currently rank seventh in the AHL’s Central Division standings and 15th in the Western Conference standings. Cleveland is led in scoring by C Carter Camper (11-29-40), C Alex Broadhurst (15-14-29), and LW Terry Broadhurst (12-12-24).

HEAT PRE-SCOUT: In the wake of a 6-3 road win over the Monsters on Wednesday, the Stockton Heat enter tonight’s game at 25-17-2-3 overall this season. With a .585 points percentage, the Heat currently rank third in the AHL’s Pacific Division standings and sixth in the Western Conference. Stockton is led in scoring by LW Andrew Mangiapane (19-23-42), D Rasmus Andersson (7-26-33), and D Tyler Wotherspoon (6-25-31).

  • LOCAL BOY: Northeast Ohio native Carter Camper continues to lead the Monsters in scoring and is supplying points at a better than one per game pace over his last five appearances (1-6-7) and his past ten games played (3-8-11).
  • JOLTIN’ JORDAN: Monsters LW Jordan Schroeder posted a pair of goals in Cleveland’s 6-3 loss to Stockton on Wednesday. Currently in the midst of a three-game point streak (3-2-5), Schroeder has six points (3G, 3A) to his credit in his past five games played.
