KEYS TO SUCCESS:

  • CANCEL CARTER: In Thursday’s Game 4, the Monsters will try to neutralize the AHL’s leading scorer in the regular season, Carter Verhaeghe, who currently ranks tied for second in Calder Cup Playoff scoring with six points (1G, 5A) so far this season.
  • STAY OUT OF THE BOX: Cleveland was a steady three-for-four on the penalty kill in Game 3, but in Thursday’s Game 4, the Monsters will aim to limit the chances for Syracuse’s playoff-best power-play, converting at a 40.0% clip in the postseason.
  • LIGHT THE LAND: Nearly 9,500 fans urged the Monsters on during Game 3 on Tuesday at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse and in Game 4, Cleveland will again try to utilize a huge crowd and the energy they provide to close out the Crunch and move on to the second round of the Calder Cup Playoffs.
