KEYS TO SUCCESS:

  • HELP FROM ABOVE: The Monsters will get a big jolt on Saturday in the form of former Monsters greats and 2016 Calder Cup Champions G Joonas Korpisalo and LW Markus Hannikainen, both assigned to Cleveland by the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets late Friday night.
  • CAPTAIN CURTIS: Texas captain, LW Curtis McKenzie, currently ranks in the AHL’s top-five in both power-play goals (5, T3rd) and shots on goal (62, 5th) so far this season.
  • FINISH STRONG: Cleveland would do well to build a lead through 40 minutes of play on Saturday as Texas is 0-7-0-0 when trailing through two periods of play and the Stars also have -14 goal differential to their credit in the third period of games this year (12/26).
