  • WELCOME BACK KORPI: The Monsters will be aided on Wednesday by the arrival of Blue Jackets backup goaltender Joonas Korpisalo, a Calder Cup Champion with Cleveland in 2016. In three appearances for the Monsters this season, Korpisalo is 1-1-1 with a 2.29 GAA and a .927 SV% and vs. Milwaukee this season, Korpisalo is 1-0-0 in one appearance with a 1.00 GAA and a.970 SV% with those numbers stemming from a 32-save performance in a 3-2 Cleveland home win vs. the Admirals on November 18th.
  • LIGHT UP LINDBACK: The Monsters will need to do their best to neutralize Milwaukee net-minder Anders Lindback on Wednesday. So far this season, Lindback leads the league in wins (17, T1st), minutes played (1581:45, 1st), total saves (777, 1st), and shootout wins (4, 1st), and ranks in the AHL’s top-20 in goals-against average (2.58, 17th).
  • AVOID THE SHOOTOUT: Cleveland would do well to avoid a shootout vs. the Admirals on Wednesday as the Monsters have yet to score a single shootout goal in three shootout games contested this year, while Milwaukee is 5-0 in shootouts, the Admirals rank third league-wide with a 71.4% shootout conversion rate, and Milwaukee RW Justin Kirkland leads the AHL with four shootout goals to his credit this season.
