Monsters Return From All-Star Break To Take On Barons

MATCHUP In the first game following the all-star break, the Lake Erie Monsters (18-16-3-3) put their two-game win streak on the line in the first game of a three-game road swing against the league-leading Oklahoma City Barons (28-10-2-3).  The Monsters are coming off a 3-2 overtime win at home over San Antonio on Saturday, while Oklahoma City last played one week ago and fell to Charlotte on the road 3-2.  The Monsters are 0-2-0-0 against the Barons this season, with each of the previous two games in the season series being played at Quicken Loans Arena.  The Monsters are 8-9-3-1 on the road this season, while the Barons are 13-5-0-2 at home.


LAST TIME OUT Andrew Agozzino scored for the third straight game to secure the 3-2 win in overtime for the Monsters.  Dennis Everberg and Stefan Elliott also scored for the Monsters, while Reto Berra stopped 37 of 39 shots in net.  The Monsters completed a two-game sweep of San Antonio in the win, and they are now 2-0-0-0 against the Rampage this season.


WHO TO WATCH: MONSTERS Agozzino had a goal and an assist last time out to help the Monsters to a win, and he has become the second Monster this season to notch goals in three straight games.  Agozzino has 10 goals on the season.  Agozzino is also plus-four over his last two games and plus-six over his last five games.


WHO TO WATCH: BARONS Former Monsters Matt Ford had two goals and an assist the last time the Monsters and Barons met, and Ford brings a four-game assist streak into Friday's contest.  Ford has a goal and four assists over his current four-game point streak, and he is plus-three over his last four games.
