KEYS TO SUCCESS:

  • RIDE THE WAVE: After claiming five of six possible standings points in three straight games vs. the Milwaukee Admirals, the Monsters are currently in the midst of a four-game points streak (2-0-0-2), tied for the AHL’s third-longest such active streak.
  • BUILD A LEAD: If the Monsters can build a lead on Friday, it’ll be a double-whammy for the visiting Texas Stars as Cleveland is 4-0-0-1 when leading after one period and 5-0-0-0 when leading after two periods this year. On the other side, the Stars are without a point when trailing after both one (0-3-0-0) and two (0-7-0-0) periods so far this season.
  • TAKE DOWN TRAVIS: Cleveland will need to neutralize the Stars’ top scorer, C Travis Morin, on Friday, but that hasn’t been an easy task for opposing teams this season as Morin currently ranks in the AHL’s top-five in points (20, 5th) and assists (17, T2nd) so far this year.
