Monsters Set to Wrangle With Wolves
In the first of 12 meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Chicago Wolves, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s St. Louis Blues, on Sunday with full coverage, live from Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL, underway at 5:00 pm on 99X and the Monsters Hockey Network.
MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 4-1 home loss to the San Antonio Rampage on Friday, the Cleveland Monsters enter tonight’s game at 3-4-0-0 on the season. With a .429 points percentage, the Monsters currently rank tied for seventh place in the AHL’s Central Division standings and tied for 12th in the Western Conference standings. Cleveland is led in scoring by C Alex Broadhurst (3-3-6), D Cody Goloubef (1-5-6) and C T.J. Tynan (1-4-5).
WOLVES PRE-SCOUT: In the wake of a 7-3 home win over the Rockford IceHogs on Saturday, the Chicago Wolves enter tonight’s game at 3-4-0-0 overall this season. With a .429 points percentage, Chicago currently ranks tied for seventh in the AHL’s Central Division standings and tied for 12th in the Western Conference. The Wolves are led in scoring by D Brad Hunt (2-6-8), LW Kenny Agostino (4-3-7), LW Brett Sterling (3-2-5) and C Ivan Barbashev (3-2-5).
SEASON SERIES: Sunday marks the first of 12 meetings between the Monsters and Wolves this season and the first of six meetings between the two teams at Allstate Arena this year. In 2015-16, the Monsters posted a 7-1-0-0 overall record vs. Chicago with a +11 goal differential (28/17) and supplied a 3-1-0-0 record vs. the Wolves at Allstate Arena with a +3 goal differential (14/11) to their credit.
