Monsters Start Back To Back Road Trip In Adirondack

MATCHUP Tonight begins a set of back-to-back road matchups for the Lake Erie Monsters (31-28-8-4) against the Adirondack Flames (34-29-6-2), as the puck is set to drop tonight at 7:00 p.m. at the Glens Falls Civic Center. The two teams have not met since mid-November, when Adirondack notched back-to-back wins over the Monsters at Quicken Loans Arena; one in regulation, and one in a shootout. The Monsters are coming off a 5-1 home loss to Rochester on Thursday, and Adirondack played in Utica last night, topping the Comets 3-2. The Monsters enter Saturday two points behind the Flames in the standings, with each team currently battling for a playoff spot.

LAST TIME OUT Tomas Vincour scored the Monsters lone goal on Thursday in the first period, and Rochester scored the next five goals in the game to secure a 5-1 win. Rochester notched four goals in the third period to seal the Monsters defeat. Colin Smith's assist gave him points in back-to-back games, and Chris Bigras registered his first professional point on a first period assist.

WHO TO WATCH: MONSTERS Andrew Agozzino had back-to-back games with two goals prior to Thursday's game. Agozzino has two assists in two games against Adirondack this season.

WHO TO WATCH: FLAMES Ken Agostino was held without a point last night, but he has four goals and seven assists for 11 points over his last six games for the Flames.
