Monsters Take on the Americans at Home

In the fifth of eight meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Rochester Americans, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres, on Tuesday with full coverage, live from The Q, underway at 7:00 pm on Alt 99.1, AHLTV and the Monsters Hockey Network.

MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 3-4 home overtime loss to the Binghamton Devils on Sunday, the Cleveland Monsters enter tonight’s game at 22-21-5-1 on the season. With 50 points, the Monsters currently rank seventh in the AHL’s North Division standings and 14th in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland is led in scoring by LW Nathan Gerbe (10-22-32), C Zac Dalpe (15-14-29) and C Alex Broadhurst (8-21-29).

AMERICANS PRE-SCOUT: In the wake of a 2-5 road loss to the Utica Comets on Saturday, the Rochester Americans enter tonight’s game at 29-14-3-2 on the season. With 63 points, the Americans currently rank first in the AHL’s North Division standings and second in the Eastern Conference. Rochester is led in scoring by LW Victor Olofsson (19-24-43), D Zach Redmond (19-20-39) and C Danny O’Regan (17-16-33).

SEASON SERIES: Tuesday marks the fifth of eight meetings between the Monsters and Americans this season and the third of four meetings between the two teams at Quicken Loans Arena this year. So far this season, Cleveland shows a record of 0-3-1-0 vs. Rochester overall with a -10 goal differential (4/14) while the Monsters are 0-1-1-0 vs. the Amerks at home with a -5 goal differential (1/6) to their credit.
