KEYS TO SUCCESS:

  • BROADHURST BROS.: Cleveland’s Alex and Terry Broadhurst combined for each of the Monsters’ goals in the team’s pair of losses to Chicago on Tuesday and Thursday this week at The Q. In his past five games played, Alex has seven points to his credit (3G, 4A), while Terry has two points (1G, 1A) in his past two appearances.
  • REMARKABLE RETO: San Deigo G Reto Berra currently ranks among the AHL’s league-leaders in both goals-against average (2.55, 18th) and save percentage (.925, 5th).
  • DON’T RETALIATE: The Gulls accumulate the league’s second-most penalty minutes per game this season (16.6 PIM/gm.), so if Cleveland can stay disciplined on Saturday, the Monsters will likely end up with a bevy of extra-man opportunities.
