KEYS TO SUCCESS:

  • SHUT DOWN STROME: Tucson’s top scorer Dylan Strome, the third-overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft and the reigning CCM/AHL Player of the Week currently ranks tied for second in the AHL in plus/minus (+10) and tied for third league-wide in assists (9). Strome also leads all AHL rookies in assists, plus/minus, points (10, T1st), and power-play assists (4, T1st).
  • STRING WINS TOGETHER: The Monsters are 4-0-0-0 after losses this season, but 0-3-1 following wins. On Friday, Cleveland will attempt to claim victory in back-to-back games for the first time in the 2017-18 campaign.
  • POTENT PENALTY KILLS: Both the Monsters and Roadrunners boast productive penalty killing units in terms of offense as the two teams are currently tied for second in the AHL in overall shorthanded goals scored this season (2, T2nd).
