ROCKFORD, IL – In the sixth of eight meetings between the two teams this season, Cleveland’s Lake Erie Monsters were defeated by the Rockford IceHogs on Sunday by a final score of 2-1 at the BMO Harris Bank Center in Rockford, IL. With the loss, the Monsters fell to 31-19-5-5 overall this season and with a .600 points percentage, remain alone in fourth place in the AHL’s Central Division standings.

Oliver Bjorkstrand buried a power-play tally at 15:22 of the final period to draw the Monsters within one on feeds from Steve Eminger and John Ramage, but the IceHogs slammed the door down the stretch thanks to a 38-save performance from veteran net-minder Drew MacIntyre.
