Monsters Outlasted by Reign, 2-1

CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Monsters, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, were defeated by the Ontario Reign on Saturday at The Q by a final score of 2-1. With the loss, the Monsters fell to 3-3-1-0 overall this season and with a .500 points percentage, currently sit alone in fourth place in the AHL’s Central Division standings.

In the middle frame, the Monsters cut the Reign lead in half with a Tyler Motte power-play goal at 7:27 that came courtesy of assists from Dean Kukan and Miles Koules, but after a scoreless third period, Ontario emerged victorious by a 2-1 final score.
