For the first time ever, the Monsters will tangle with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms during the 2018-19 season. Led by Head Coach Scott Gordon, the Phantoms are coming off a 47-19-5-5 season in which they finished in first place in the Atlantic Division. In the Calder Cup playoffs, Lehigh Valley disposed of the Providence Bruins in four games and the Charlotte Checkers in five before falling to the eventual champions, the Toronto Marlies, in four games.

The Monsters and Phantoms will play each other four times during the 2018-19 season, with the Monsters making two visits to the PPL Center in Allentown, PA, and Lehigh Valley making two stops at Quicken Loans Arena. This is the first time in franchise history that the Monsters will square off with any Philadelphia Flyers’ AHL affiliate.
