Following the All-Star break, the Cleveland Monsters NHL Affiliate, the Columbus Blue Jackets, continue their push towards the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Blue Jackets Report

Following a successful NHL All-Star Weekend that ended in victory for Cam Atkinson, Seth Jones, Sergei Bobrovsky, and the rest of the Metropolitan Division, the Columbus Blue Jackets have begun their push to finish the second half of the season strong.  At 34-13-5, Columbus currently sits in second place in the Metro Division with 73 points. “This is a great spot to be in, but they have to accept the responsibility that comes with it…I just want us to keep climbing at this point in the season,” Head Coach John Tortorella said.

All-Stars Atkinson and Bobrovsky continue to rank among the league’s statistical leaders. Bobrovsky leads all NHL net-minders with 29 wins, is third in the league with a .925 SV%, and ranks fourth with a 2.18 GAA. Atkinson, with 26 goals so far this season, is currently tied with Alex Ovechkin for third in that offensive category.

The Jackets are now headed into a seven game home stretch at Nationwide Arena.
