KEYS TO SUCCESS:

·         MARVELOUS MATISS: Monsters goaltender Matiss Kivlenieks is off to a tremendous start to his professional career. Through the first four appearances of his rookie season, Kivlenieks is 1-2-1 and currently ranks in the AHL’s top-five in both goals-against average (1.72, 2nd) and save percentage (.932, 5th).

·         FAMILIAR FACE: Monsters LW Jordan Schroeder is expected to appear in his 300th career AHL game on Saturday and appropriately, Schroeder’s milestone appearance will come at Wells Fargo Arena vs. the Iowa Wild, a team with whom Schroeder posted 30-50-80 with 34 penalty minutes and a -9 rating in 100 appearances spanning parts of three seasons from 2014-17.

·         BUILD A LEAD: The Monsters would do well to leap out in front of the Wild on Saturday as Cleveland is 3-0-0-0 when leading after one period of play this season and Iowa is 0-5-0-0 when trailing through two periods of play.
