Monsters Sign Forward Spencer Naas to Amateur Tryout Contract
St. Louis Park, MN native posted 12-12-24 in 36 collegiate appearances for UConn this season.
The Cleveland Monsters, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, announced Wednesday that the Monsters signed forward Spencer Naas to an amateur tryout (ATO) contract. In 36 NCAA appearances for the University of Connecticut this season, Naas posted 12-12-24 with 22 penalty minutes and a +7 rating.
A 5’11”, 185 lb., left-handed native of St. Louis Park, MN, Naas, 22, contributed 49-28-77 with 71 penalty minutes and a +1 rating in 143 career collegiate appearances for UConn spanning four seasons from 2014-18 and served as the Huskies’ assistant captain during his junior campaign in 2016-17.
