Game Preview: Monsters at IceHogs 1/14

In the first of four meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Rockford IceHogs, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks, on Friday with full coverage, live from BMO Harris Bank Center in Rockford, IL, underway at 8:00 pm on FOX Sports 1350 AM “The Gambler”, AHLTV and the Monsters Hockey Network.

 

MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 3-4 road loss to the Chicago Wolves on Sunday, the Cleveland Monsters enter today’s game at 11-9-4-3 on the season. With a .537 points percentage, the Monsters currently rank fifth in the North Division standings and tenth in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland is currently led in scoring by C Brendan Gaunce (9-10-19), D Jake Christiansen (5-14-19), and C Liam Foudy (6-11-17).

 

ICEHOGS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 6-2 road win over the Milwaukee Admirals on Saturday, the Rockford IceHogs enter today’s game at 13-11-1-1 on the season. With a .538 points percentage, the IceHogs currently rank third in the Central Division standings and eighth in the Western Conference. Rockford is currently led in scoring by LW Lukas Reichel (11-9-20), C Dylan McLaughlin (3-10-13), and RW Alexander Nylander (8-4-12).
