Monsters Face the Marlies in a Saturday Matinee Rematch

In the fifth of eight meetings between the two teams this season, the Cleveland Monsters, affiliate of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, drop the puck vs. the Toronto, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs, on Saturday with full coverage, live from Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, underway at 1:00 pm on Alt 99.1, AHLTV and the Monsters Hockey Network.

 

MONSTERS PRE-SCOUT: Following a 5-2 home win over the Toronto Marlies on Friday, the Cleveland Monsters enter today’s game at 19-20-2-2 on the season. With 42 points, the Monsters currently rank eighth in the AHL’s North Division standings and 14th in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland is currently led in scoring by D Adam Clendening (6-23-29), LW Nathan Gerbe (8-17-25) and C Stefan Matteau (9-12-21).

 

MARLIES PRE-SCOUT: Following a 2-5 road loss to the Cleveland Monsters on Friday, the Toronto Marlies enter today’s game at 21-17-2-2 on the season. With 46 points, the Marlies currently rank fifth in the AHL’s North Division standings and 11th in the Eastern Conference. Toronto is currently led in scoring by LW Kenny Agostino (20-13-33), RW Jeremy Bracco (4-29-33) and RW Pontus Aberg (14-18-32).
